The Transfagarasan Tour begins at 8AM at your accommodation place. From here we will start our journey to the Fagaras Mountains, one of the biggest mountains in Romania, also known as the Transylvanian Alps.

On arrival at Balea Waterfall, you’ll stop to capture photographs before proceeding to Balea Lake, arguably the most beautiful glacial lake in the Carpathian Mountains from here we will continue the Transfagarasan Tour to the highest part of the road.

We will start to drive on Romania's most beautiful road, named by the television show Top Gear as "the best road in the world". The Transfagarasan Highway is the second-highest road in Romania, reaching as high as to 2,034 meters at Balea Lake. Here you have an hour and a half break to enjoy the beauty of the surroundings. Revitalize with lunch and then leave the Transfagarasan Highway, through Tara Romaneasca, to the Vidaru Dam, a striking man-made dam surrounded by mountains.

After the Vidraru Dam stop, we’ll follow a dramatic route through the Curtea de Arges, situated in a picturesque landscape, this is one of the most historically significant places in Romania. Curtea de Arges is the home of an old Princely Court, dated back to the 14th century and a famous monastery, with a very interesting yet gruesome legend.

In the Transfagarasan Tour the next stop is Dragoslavele Mausoleum, a monument dedicated to the lost lives of Romanian World War I soldiers. After returning to the vehicle, you’ll follow a dramatic route through the mountains to Bran.

Finish the Transfagarasan Tour with a transfer back to Brasov where your tour ends, arriving late in the evening.
