The Mystical Day Tour will take us in in the 1st century BC, in the Orastie Mountains, when the Dacian people, our ancestors started to build the Dacian Fortresses.

We will leave Brasov in the morning to reach the Dacian Fortresses in time.

All the history is starting in the time of the Geto-Dacian kingdom of the late Ist millennium B.C., this people had an exceptionally high cultural and socio-economic level, and this is symbolized by this group of fortresses.

We will visit the Dacian Fortress of Sarmizegetusa Regia area all day long. There are 6 Dacian ruins included in the UNESCO patrimony. Sarmizegetusa Regia is the best-preserved fortress.

The Dacian Fortress Costesti it will be the first fortress that we will visit. Included in the UNESCO Heritage List it had a military purpose, to defend the territory but also served as residence for the Dacian kings.

The second fortress will be Dacian Fortress Blidaru where after almost an hour-long foot trip we will reach the fortress that was the most powerful defense system in the Sarmizegetusa Regia area and is very well preserved even today. Dacian Fortress Costesti-Blidaru, located at 750 meters high, on Blidaru peak, represents the strongest Dacian fortress, spread across an astounding 6000sqm area. Costesti-Blidaru Dacian Fortress is composed by to fortifications. The first one is in a trapeze shape and is situated in the upper part, it have 4 towers on each corner. The second one was built after and it is in the west part of the first.

The last and most important destination in the amazing tour of the ancient Dacian Fortresses of Romania is Sarmizegetusa Regia. Religious, political and military center, the fortress was the residence of the Dacian kings and families thanks to its strategical defense points. Prior to the wars with the Roman Empire, Sarmizegetusa Regia represented the most famous Dacian Fortress, with sacred zones and residences of the nobility. The Fortress was the headquarter of the Dacians and the capital.

Sarmizegetusa Regia contained a citadel and residential areas with dwellings and workshops as well as a sacred area.

After the incursion in the mystical world of the Dacian people we will go back to Brasov.
