4 Saxon villages tour will take you a day far away from the hustle of the city and will show you a small part of the history of Rasnov Fortress, Bran Castle known as Dracula’s Castle and two Fortified Churches that are in the UNESCO World Heritage Site, Prejmer and Harman Churches.

The first stop will be at Dracula’s home, Bran Castle, where we will immerse in the legends of Transylvania.

We will visit the castle’s many well-preserved rooms and chambers. Gothic furnishings and details help set the scene for ghastly legends of all that happened here, including the imprisonment of Vlad the Impaler.

We will have time to take some souvenirs just outside of the castle, where you can find “Dracula” gifts, and local handmade things of wool and wood.

The next stop will be at the imposing 13th-century fortress built by the Saxon colonists to protect the crop.

We will take a tour inside the old fortress along the walls to see how it was organized. On top of the fortress we will have a great 360 degrees panorama which reveals the superb views of Bucegi Mountain and Piatra Craiului Mountains.

Next, our journey will take you through Brasov to get to Prejmer. There you will have the lunch. After the lunch break, we will visit one of the best preserved fortified church  in Transylvania and the largest fortified church in southeastern Europe. Access to the building was through a 100-foot-long arched passage fortified with two rows of gates. Each village family had a designated room for shelter in case of attack. The red-roofed wall accommodated 272 rooms, stacked over four stories and linked by wooden staircases.

Harman Fortified Church is located in the heart of Harman village, this fortified church dates back to the 13th century when Saxons built the original structure.

At this point we will drive you back to Brasov.
