Bran Castle tour and Rasnov Fortress will immerse yourself in the legends of Transylvania. The half-day tour will begin with the tour of Rasnov Fortress, the imposing 13th-century fortress,

Learn about the history of Rasnov Fortress, a walled stone compound designed to ward off attacks by the fierce Tartars and used as a refuge for local villagers during medieval warfare. Explore the time-worn courtyards, ramparts and well of the 13th-century fortress built by the Teutons.

The tour will be inside the old fortress along the walls to see how it was organized. On top of the fortress we will have a great 360 degrees panorama which reveals the superb views of Bucegi Mountain and Piatra Craiului Mountains.

Next up is Bran Castle tour, the castle also known as “Dracula’s Castle”, which is built on a hilltop with view on each part of the valley. The castle got its fame from the novel “Dracula”, written by Bram Stoker and Dracula movie due later directed by Francisc Ford Copplola.

The Bran Castle tour will show us the castle’s many well-preserved rooms and chambers. Gothic furnishings and details help set the scene for ghastly legends of all that happened here, including the imprisonment of Vlad the Impaler.

After the visit you will have time to take some souvenirs just outside of the castle, where you can find “Dracula” gifts, and local handmade things of wool and wood.

At this point we will drive you back to Brasov, if you’re thirsty for more, we can extend your tour by 3 to 4 hours and visit the nearby Peles Castle.
