Discover two of Transylvania biggest attractions, Dracula and the bear watch. We will visit the largest brown bear sanctuary in the world and learn more about the incredible creatures and know more about Dracula's castle.
First we will see from distance the Rasnov Fortress, a walled stone compound designed to ward off attacks by the fierce Tartars and used as a refuge for local villagers during medieval warfare. Explore the time-worn courtyards, ramparts and well of the 13th-century fortress built by the Teutons.
Next we will bear watch at Bear Sanctuary, here time of 1 hour our guide will introduces us to the over 80 residents of the place and each of their unique stories.
We will watch the bears as they roam in their spacious enclosures, climbing trees and taking dips in pools will make you feel extraordinary. This bears come from bleak backgrounds, thanks to the efforts of the sanctuary, they are now able to enjoy normal, happy lives. From the front of the sanctuary we will have a great 360 degrees panorama which reveals the superb views of Bucegi Mountain and Piatra Craiului Mountains.
Next we visit Bran Castle also known as “Dracula’s Castle”, the castle is built on a hilltop with view on each part of the valley. The castle got its fame from the novel “Dracula”, written by Bram Stoker and Dracula movie due later directed by Francisc Ford Copplola.
At the castle we will visit the many well-preserved rooms and chambers. Gothic furnishings and details help set the scene for ghastly legends of all that happened here, including the imprisonment of Vlad the Impaler.
At the final we have time to take some souvenirs just outside of the castle, where you can find “Dracula” gifts, and local handmade things of wool and wood.
